Amplifying impact in mental health support
Growing Space is a South Wales-based organisation whose vital work empowers people with mental health challenges, autism and learning difficulties. Since 2022, I have proudly worked with their team to forge strong partnerships and help their work reach the people and communities who need it most.
Providing consistent expertise
For three decades, Growing Space has created pathways to confidence and belonging. Their projects tackle isolation, build skills and break down stigma linked to mental ill health, autism and learning disabilities. However, their marketing didn’t always reflect the power of their work. As a strong supporter of their mission, I was honoured to step in with the strategic oversight and delivery needed to achieve their goals.
Delivering flexible marketing support
From day one, I integrated closely with their team, becoming a natural extension of their capacity. One month I might be boosting sign-ups for accredited training courses; the next, promoting events like the National Gardening Scheme or creating press and PR that keeps Growing Space in the spotlight for the right reasons. More recently, I’ve led in the production of newsletters that highlight the charity’s impact. As my experience spans the full spectrum of marketing and communications, I can step in wherever needed and keep momentum strong.
Shaping strategy for growth
After nearly three years together, my role extends beyond marketing activity into the strategic guidance that steers their growth. I’ve supported funding bids with the right marketing evidence and data, strengthened partnerships with organisations such as the National Lottery and advised on how communications can reinforce their goals across multiple projects. This balance of consultancy and delivery means I can help Growing Space stay focused on the bigger picture while ensuring the details that matter never slip through the cracks.
